Prof. Dr. Christian Lequesne

 

Prof. Dr. Christian Lequesne is director of the Centre d’études et de recherches internationales (CERI) of Sciences Po.

 

Christian Lequesne holds degrees from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Strasbourg, the College of Europe, Bruges and a Ph.D. in political science.He was research fellow at CERI since 1988 and deputy director of the center between 2000 and 2003. From 2004 to 2006 he was director of the Centre francais de recherche en sciences sociales (CEFRES) in Prague. Furthermore he was LSE-Science Po Alliance Professor at the European Institute of the London School of Economics and Political Science from 2006 to 2008.  He is director of CERI since 1 January 2009 and member of the Board of Directors of Sciences Po. Furthermore, he is member of the editorial boards or scientific councils of Critique internationale, Politique européenne, the Journal of European Integration and regular columnist (European policies) for Ouest France. His research interests are French European politics in an enlarged European Union, EU enlargement policies and in institutional reforms of the European Union.

 

Course: France and Germany in an enlarged EU

In Cologne he will give a course for graduate students on “France and Germany in an enlarged EU” during the winter semester 2009/10. His inaugural lecture will be held on 27 October at the University of Cologne.
